This late harvest style has a lovely balanced sweet finish - always a favourite choice at our cellar door.
Varietal: 66% Riesling, 44% Gewürztraminer.
Region: Rowland Flat, Barossa Valley.
Vineyard and Vinification:
Late picked from 10 year old vines, grape varieties mixed at crushing time. Traminer and Riesling picked late in the season in April,
make a great blend, the high sugar and rich spice (15°Baume) of the Traminer complementing the lower sugar, higher acid of the Riesling.
Tasting Notes:
Delightful nose of candied mixed peel, delicate spices and floral overtones entwine with flavours of a citrus pie and a lovely succulent
sweetness. This delicious sweet white can be enjoyed chilled anytime and with most foods, especially spicy Asian-style dishes or with a
fruity dessert.
Alcohol: 9.5% v/v.
Cellar: Now to 5 years.
Closure: Screw cap.
